Looking for a job? More than 20 employers will participate in the Thurgood Marshall Job, Health & Resource Fair this Wednesday, May 15
If you’re looking for a job, get your resumes ready: the annual Thurgood Marshall Job, Health & Resource Fair aims to connect applicants with a wide variety of careers in healthcare, education, transportation, manufacturing, government, and more.
Held by the West Michigan Community Help Network, the job fair will take place this Wednesday, May 15 from 12pm to 4pm at the Bishop Williams L. Burrell Multi-Plex Center (412 E. Sherman Boulevard in Muskegon Heights). The job fair is free and open to the public, and a free health checkup will be available from Healthcare Inc.
About 23 employers representing a wide variety of fields will be on hand at the fair—an always well-attended event that’s been connecting local residents with work for more than two decades.
The West Michigan Community Help Network is partnering with WUVS 103.7 The Beat, WMMT 106.1, Motown House/EDM, Tyson Foods, West Michigan Works, Mercy Health, Workforce, and United Way to host the fair.
“The fair is working with community groups, students, churches, non-profits, senior citizens and other public and private groups who are seeking to find jobs for people with fairness for all, regardless of race, creed or color,” the organizations hosting the fair stated in a press release. “Residents with diverse backgrounds and experience are expected to attend the job fair. Candidates of all ages, experience levels and industries are encouraged to attend.”
Companies at the fair will be looking to fill entry-level to management level positions that are both full- and part-time. Computers will be on site for job seekers to fill out online applications, courtesy of TCS Computers.
